"You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there"

Zoe @ Run, Zoe, Run is hosting a Road ID giveaway, which was the final push over the fence that I needed to get off my lazy bum and get me a Road ID. Finally, right?

But dude. All the choices! And the customizing! So many options!

I'm digging the pink neoprene ankle ID... mainly because it's neoprene. I don't know how I'd feel about the Wrist ID Elite or the Wrist ID Sport.. the material seems chafe-inducing. I'm sure I'm being paranoid, since I seem to be the last runner in the universe without one, but.

Then all the lines you can add stuff on! I did a quick google search of "Running quotes", hence the Pre reference in the title... seems fitting, since that's my train of thought for the first half mile of every single run.

And the colors... pink?? That's my general go-to running gear color. But the purple is RAD...

So I want to hear all about your Road ID's. Which ones have you tried, which do you love, what's on yours?!

Spill it!

  1. I have both the regular and the elite. I prefer the elite. It's never chafed me at all. The standard one gets kinda itchy on my skin when I sweat too much.

I have a pink standard one and a yellow elite one. I wear my elite one most often. They're both wrist IDs. :)

  2. You're right, there are so many different choices. I have the Wrist ID Elite in purple and it's a great color! it's never bothered me. Mine says "Run Strong, Never Quit!"

  3. I have the shoe id, the interactive one, where you can have all your medical information online. I like the shoe one because I don't have to think about it, ever, it's just on my shoe and done, I never have to remember to put it on when I head out the door, its already on my shoe. Seriously, best idea ever to get one. I take a variety of meds daily (i have bipolar disorder) and the interactive is the best because I can list every thing, different ones, doses, doctors, allergies, important medical history and multiple emergency contacts.

  4. I have the basic shoe Road ID. I wear the same shoes to run in for 300 or so miles, so I've always got it on. I have a hard enough time finding my iPod and Garmin, searching for a Road ID would be a pain!

  5. i have the elite wrist in purple (wanted purple for Team in Training) and its the interactive one. i found myself forgetting to put it on so I ended up winning one on a blog and ordered the black shoe id (no purple option). that is the one nice thing about interactive-you can change it and use the info for multiple id’s.

  6. I think I just have the regular one for my wrist - in red. And mine says "Love to Run" on it - since I don't have any issues worth putting on there (other than my mommy and grandpa's phone numbers).

I'm so glad I have it. I always feel so much more secure just knowing it is on!

  7. I was leaning towards pink too, but figured that it would end up black so I went with black. I totally dig it. I thought it would bug me, but ran my last 1/2 with it and didn't notice it a bit. My quote is "don't go gently...rage"
